Wow! Thanks for building the VST plugin! I use the sounds in Reason Adapted and
in my Roland SPD-S, which has a CompactFlash card slot. I\'ll send you an MP3 of
a sequence I made on Reason Adapted containing all Simmons sounds, SDS-5 through
SDX. Also, just a reminder to anyone who\'s reading this. If you\'re having
trouble opening a file in the VST plugin, you have to scroll down until you see
files that don\'t have ._ in front of them. There are two sets of files in the
downloaded folder. At the top, the files are for MACs only. At the bottom, the
files are for PC\'s.

Does the sds 800 have eproms and if so can I change them for different ones like

the SDS800 is an analogue unit, it does not feature eproms. Eproms you will find in the SDS7, SDS1 and SDS9 only.

planned is a sample set for the LM4 VST plugin. It\'s pretty finished, but as I have mentioned we are expecting twins and I just had an ear infarct which takes some time to heal (No mercy please! Nothing serious :-))
The plugin will contain all the stuff which is already published as well as an SDX kit.

"programming" the SDS800 is not possible, it only keeps the actual knob settings "in mind" but does not offer any memory.
As far as I know the 800 uses different circuits for bass and snare than for the toms, they feature different parameters, I don\'t know the exact differences, but I guess it is not possible to generate the same sounds with either the bassdrum channel or the tom channel.
But of course it is possible to plug 4 ordinary tom pads instead of 3 tom and one bassdrum pad.

Hi there,
I\'ve never tried to search for Simmons on the net.... and then, I\'ve found
your site! Great, great..... if only (as all of you guys) you could imagine,
growing as a teen in France in the 80\'s how many times i\'ve tried to make some
fake Simmons pads out of italian "panforte" boxes (that were hexagonal)! Now,
almost 20 years later, i\'ve purchased a SDS5 (3 pads and the brain) and,
lately, a SDS& brain. The thing is.... I can make the SDS5 work (tears of joy
when I first heard it.... those sounds I was emulating with my mouth all these
years, my girlfriend thought I was stupid while driving to a 80\'s song snf
doing those "thugh ! Thugh!)but..... how does the SDS7 work ???? Do you have on
the site, some SDS7 manual book?? This, would be sooooooo much appreciated.
From a truly Simmons fan, a real fan tha has finally found a superbe site for
his passion...... thx so much for the pics and the information. Tears of joy,
really!

space, so there will be no room left for the simmons-stuff! When is the soldout?
