exactly, no triggering with this pad, only program changes.
You may download the manual from this site. It is more than detailed.

Hi everyone,
I have a MTM + Pad (16 pad in single box)
which is its actual appraisal?
Sorry for bad english!

comment: Hi Francesco,
the MTMs which had been sold on Ebay went for about 100-200 Euro. I guess the "16 pad in a box" is the selector pad which is supposed to change the programs 1-16 in a live situation.
For live purposes the MTM cannot cope with today\'s midi interfaces concerning dynamics and speed of signal processing. But it\'s pretty useful to connect old non-midi synthesizers like SDS5 or SDS7 to the midi world.

I\'m so curious to know what happened to Dave Simmons??? Is he still doing
electronics, does he still live, does he has plans to start all over???

comment:
Hi,
this is written down in the about area: After the Simmons company had collapsed, Dave Simmons invented a training hand for manicure students and since than he runs a company together with a partner selling manicure stuff

Ah those wonderful hexagons... that defined my childhood. "Hungry Like The Wolf"
and many other songs were defined by the Simmons sound. Add the Steinberger XL-2
bass (the black one that looked like a box and stick) and you got pure 80s
nostalgia!
BTW, about that Suitcase... so that\'s what Peter Hook of New Order plays on the
"Perfect Kiss" video! Kewl!!

I finally got to bang on Simmons drums in 2002 on a used gear store, probably an
SDS8. Ooooo yes! Couldn\'t buy em tho. No $$ then. Grrr...

Thanks for the site!

Hi! Been trolling your site for awhile. I absolutely love it! I\'m a big fan of
Simmons also! Had a lot even the SDX, but now they\'re history... What I do have
now is a turtletrap which is cool. Has anyone seen a manual for this thing?
It\'s a pretty straightforward unit, but I know how SImmona are with their
minimal buttons. I\'d like to know what all button combinations actually do!
Thanks for the site and thanks for any help anyone could give.

Cool site, really brought back a lot of memories for me :-) and made me remember
that I have an SDS-5 with the cymbal module (no pads) that I\'ve been storing
for the past 20 years. Completely working, any idea of it\'s value?

Great Site! Are there any Simmons pads that will "NOT" work with an SDS7
module?

comment:
Hi Craig,
I don\'t see any problem in using other transducer-based pads than the original SDS7 pads. Probably you need to build custom cables as the trigger inputs are XLR but most standard pads have 6.3mm jacks.
Bye
