Would you sell me a set of SDS 2000 or SDS 9 Pads?
comment:
Hi Nate,
I am really touched! However...
1. Unfortunately I belong to the group that do not part with any Simmons gear. Sorry about that
2. The pads you\'ve mentioned are not that rare. See http://search.ebay.com/simmons-drum-pad_W0QQ_trksidZm37QQfromZR40
3. If you are hunting for original rare Simmons gear like SDX or SDSV pads, you need aaaa lllooottt ooofff pppaaatttiiieeennnccceee, and luck! Believe me that I know what I am talking about.
So all I can do at this point is to wish you that luck and patience

To whom it may concern,

In my research I have come finally to the source. Except the source no longer
exists and I am now stumbling around the web in search of Simmons detritus. If
anyone is willing to help a fellow drummer out, I am in desperate need of any
SDS or SDX pads and/or racks I can get my hands on. I really love the SDS 2000
and the SDS 9. UNREAL!
I notice everyone has an abundance of these sets, but no one is selling. I am
negotiating with a guy on ebay about buying random pads from different versions
(SDS 5,7,8s, it\'s hard to tell). There is a world of teasers and no suppliers.
Can\'t anyone part with just one set. I\'m not even particularly interested in a
module either. If I could just own some pads I would be happy with my life!
There is just something about them. I feel like I have to own one. And I must
mention that I have owned several electric drum sets and have felt nothing for
them, yet, I have never even seen a Simmons set in person, but I feel li

Hello everybody!
I dream everynight about the hihat pedal controller for my SDS7.... Maybe
someone can help me to find one? i propose money or deal with Simmons stuffs...
Greetings!

comment: Hi Franck,
from the beginning of next year I will forward technical requests to a firend of mine who will do services like repairs, eprom burning and custom stuff with Simmons gear. One of his specialities is building HiHat controllers for SDS5/7 based on light barrier technology just like the originals. Your chance to get a custom fully working HiHat controller at a reasonable price. This is planned for the beginning of next year: A technical support area. Stay tuned....

Yeah Paul, the "new" Simmons has actually been bastardised by Guitar Center in
the states. They own the name now, and with the horrifying products they sell,
I\'m sure Dave Simmons is reaching for a drink somewhere.

What\'s funny is that even the sales reps inside Guitar Center admit the new
Simmons stuff is crap.

Maybe one day the "real" Simmons brand and innovation / design could make a come
back in the market, who knows.

a cheap piece of crap showing something like a Simmons logo. Not worth to be mentioned. At least it has nothing to do with the former British Simmons company
