I\'ve bought my first Simmons kit, with a sds 1000 M brain. Anyone have tried to
connect this machine to a pc with a midi interface (i\'d like to play some vst
instruments by the pads)?

Hi,
the Midi addendum of the manual (which you have likely already downloaded) says that the midi channel is 1, midi notes are fixed Bass: 60, Snare=62, HiTom=64, MidTom=66, LoTom=68. So it should work if you somehow patch the channel/note number info to your VST plugin

it\'s a sampler and therefor it does not provide any "factory sounds"
Feel free to download the LM4 library where some SDX sounds from the standard library are included

Thank you very much for the info. I ended up buying some galvanized pipe with
some joints and couplings. It works great. Now if I could just find some SDS9s
or some 2000s I\'d be set. You are awsome!
