I have a set (10 pads actually) but a few don\'t make contact or must be played
very hard. How can i remove the surface of the pad when i want to control the
inside?

Cheers

comment: This depends on which pads you are actually using

There was a day when I found a cheap Simmons kit in a second hand store in
Notting Hill. Well, I bought the kit and set it up. After a few days of using
the kit a nearly new DW kickpedal broke although I am not a \"hard hitter\" at
all. I think the reason for that is that the Simmons pads were really hard, too
hard in fact. Better are the newer rubber or mesh heads. Simmons was great in
its time, but this time is over. Modern electric drums are easier to play and
sound more like the real thing.

Can visitors place their own Simmons photo\'s?
comment: no. It was planned but I haven\'t had time to realise this yet

Hello... SDS 9 pad questions anyone? 1. What is the best type of cable to
replace original cables? 2. How can you tell a dual zone small pad from a
regular small pad?

comment:
Hi
1. any guitar cable (jack to jack, mono for toms and bassdrum, stereo for snare pad) will do the same job. There is no need to use any special high quality cable just to transmit a trigger signal.
2. the snare pad has a grey "o" in "Simmons"
Best
Wolfgang

Gidday - just found your great site! I\'ve put a couple of small holes through
the surface of one of my pads - any repair suggestions? Still playing live
