Is is possible to restore the Simmons SDS7 to factory setting? I could not find
anything in the manual. I need to get the original sounds back, the original
sounds are gone on my module, any help would be appreciated.

Hi There, just noticed a mistake in the hall of fame section. Baz Watts was the
Simmons demo guy and didn\'t play for Adam Ant. It was actually Bogdan Wiczling
that played for Adam. Bob as he\'s known is artist relations manager at Zildjian
UK.

, its been a garage since at least 2000

the simmons building looked like the import building , but u got

the wrong plot

i have always lived local , and visited the simmons building at

least 3 times when it was there

i still shop at that alban retail park today , eg d.i.y store

i am not familiar with the yahoo simmons site , i will go

all my sounds are gone , last night i restored snare and high tom of my fave kit
, which i had written down , so i know brain is working ok can u help to
restore factory sounds please ? my kit was mended by Dave Simmons in person
after factory closed , he was doing repairs in sun lane Hitchin then, i met him
, and i have played on huge 12 piece sds7 with angel choir eprom sds1 pad in
factory demo room back in 80s
i am original owner of kit from new 1984 , and i now live 3 miles approx from
factory of old in st albans , which is now Wayside vw car dealership on the site

comment: The former Simmons building is the "Best Import Ltd" building. I have been there. Did you notice that a member of the Simmons Yahoo group built new battery powerde memory cards for SDS7?

I have the SDS-7 selector pad and was wondering if it is possible to change the
cable end to a midi plug and it still work the same. Thanks Erick
comment: Hi Erick, I assume you expect to receive midi data from the selector pad. That won\'t work without any A/D conversion. By default the selector pad transmits pure analog pulses which are processed in the SDS7.
